Travel Nurse Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides nursing and case management services to assigned clients, including prenatal mothers and families with children ages 0-2. Conducts clinical screenings and assessments Indiana the home to promote healthy childbirth, mothers, and children.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional licensure Indiana the State of Utah American Samoa a Registered Nurse Oregon a Multistate Nursing Compact License
- Bachelor’s degree required due to grant funding
- Bilingual Indiana English and Spanish preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, insurance, and access to a private vehicle required
- Ability to pass a required background investigation
Essential Functions:
- Provides professional nursing services and case management to assigned clients
- Assesses health needs and priorities using assessment tools
- Educates and refers clients to appropriate resources
- Maintains accurate and professional medical-legal documentation
- Ensures compliance with regulations pertaining to record management
- Prepares and submits professional plans, guidelines, and reports
Knowledge and Skills:
- Public Health Nursing services and interventions
- Nursing scope of practice and limitations
- Effective teaching practices
- Cultural competency
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to use computer software related to job duties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Requires Indiana-county travel and a flexible schedule to meet the needs of families served
- Works Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some evening and weekend hours possible
