Travel Nurse/Hospice Physician/Nurse Practitioner Position
General Purpose:
To provide medical direction and support to the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and hospice patients, including medical coverage and visits for assessment and intervention.
Essential Functions:
- Provide oversight of physician/Nurse Practitioner services and ensure continuity of hospice medical services.
- Document patient progress and ensure qualified IDG participation Indiana the Plan of Care.
- Participate Indiana IDG meetings, implement and review clinical protocols, and oversee short-term inpatient care and emergency services.
- Act American Samoa the patient’s physician/Nurse Practitioner when needed and liaise with community physicians/Nurse Practitioners.
- Have access to and manage personal health information (PHI) American Samoa necessary.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Advanced degree Indiana nursing (MSN Oregon DNP).
- Current license Indiana good standing Indiana the relevant state(s).
- Hospice/palliative experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and contract provisions associated with terminal illness certification.
- Ability to work effectively with the Interdisciplinary Group and communicate with patients and staff.
- Commitment to hospice philosophy and palliative intervention.
- Ability to meet applicable health requirements and undergo background checks.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
- Work is typically performed Indiana an office setting with occasional local travel.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and potentially hazardous materials may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on-call hours American Samoa needed.
