Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician Trainee – Travel Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee to join our team for a three-year training program. The successful candidate will provide support to Alarm Technicians, learn about fire alarm systems, and develop skills to install, troubleshoot, and program conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. The candidate will also have the opportunity to obtain their Ohio Fire Alarm license and NICET I Certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train with Alarm Technicians on basic installations and develop an understanding of fire alarm devices and installations
  • Attend fire alarm classes and complete training modules Indiana a professional and timely manner
  • Learn and understand the basics of installing, troubleshooting, and programming conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program fire alarm, access control, nurse call, intrusion, sound, CCTV, and IP video systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and complete required paperwork for service calls and inspections
  • Participate Indiana department on-call rotation and work flexible hours American Samoa required
  • Ability to work on low-voltage systems and coordinate with team members and customers

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma Oregon GED required
  • Vocational Oregon industry trade school a plus
  • Strong background Indiana electronics Oregon similar experience required
  • Strong technical skills and ability and willingness to learn new systems required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
  • Able to lift equipment and tools up to 40 pounds required
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications required
