RN Health Care Facility Surveyor – Delaware

Location: Nationwide (75% travel required)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve American Samoa a Health Care Facility Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
Requirements:
* Associate Oregon Bachelor’s degree Indiana nursing
* Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
* At least two years of recent experience working American Samoa a surveyor accrediting Oregon certifying facilities that serve long-term care facilities
* Current licensure to practice American Samoa a Registered Nurse (RN)
* History of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process
* Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations
* Evaluate aspects of the healthcare facility system, including quality of care, consumers’ rights, and physical plant
* Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel and determine if plans of correction are acceptable
* Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to ensure facilities’ plans of correction have been implemented
* Assist with facility and bureau training and participate Indiana work groups American Samoa needed
