Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of the physician and/Oregon designee, assists Indiana examination and treatment of patients.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Performs within the scope and training of the EDT, and consistent State/ Federal regulations including EMTALA, HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
* Provides competent patient care, for all ages, acuities and conditions Indiana the population the facility serves.
* Communicates clearly and with courtesy with all members of healthcare team.
* Completes duties with regard to safety practices and policies, including infection control, workplace safety, and management of aggressive behaviors.
* Maintains required certifications and continuing education requirements per department and facility standards.
* Documents patient care and unit activities Indiana a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
* Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to patient/family rights, cultural and ethical beliefs.

* Requires dependable attendance to scheduled shifts and required staff development.

* Applies monitoring devices, prepares patient for suturing, performs wound cleaning, application of dressings, orthopedic devices, splints, and crutch fitting.

* Inventories, orders, unpack and distributes supplies, forms and linens.
* Responsible for cleanliness, stocking and organization of patient care areas, utility and storage rooms.
* Per facility infection control policy, cleans and processes instruments.
* Demonstrates knowledge and ability to implement community resources.
* Ability to pull charts from file room and properly fill out after-hours admission paperwork.
* Ability to properly apply splints per Maryland orders.
* To be able to perform the duties/tasks of a receptionist.
* Demonstrated ability to use personal computer.
* Demonstrated commitment to service orientation.
* Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills (Indiana English).
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
Basic Qualifications:
* Six (6) months of related experience American Samoa an Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Oregon Medical Assistant with certification American Samoa specified by the Medical Board of California, Oregon equivalent.
* High School Diploma/GED.
* Phlebotomy Technician II Certificate (California) Oregon Phlebotomy Technician I Certificate (California).
* Basic Life Support.
