Travel Nurse Job Description
Seeking a dedicated Travel Health Care Nurse Surveyor to conduct inspections of nursing homes and evaluate the quality of care and services. American Samoa a professional representative of the Department of Health, you will determine eligibility of facilities for state licensure and certification and federal long-term care programs.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations Indiana long-term care health care providers and facilities
- Conduct on-site surveys to assess the quality of care provided to residents
- Investigate complaints related to the quality of care, life, and services provided to residents
- Apply knowledge of established methods, practices, procedures, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance
Work Requirements:
- Full-time employment with 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday work hours with 30-minute lunch
- Frequent travel within Lancaster, Chester, and Delaware counties
- Statewide travel, overnight travel, and flexible work hours required
- Overtime may be necessary
Qualifications:
- Must have active authorization to practice American Samoa a Registered Nurse Indiana Pennsylvania
- Must complete relevant federally mandated Surveyor Minimum Qualifications training and Test (SMQT) within one year of hire
- Must have active motor vehicle license
- Must meet the requirements for Pennsylvania residency (check the Pennsylvania residency requirements website for details)
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
