Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide and document skilled nursing care to patients Indiana their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Indiana accordance with developed care plans and physician orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care Indiana compliance with physician orders
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to supervisor and/Oregon physician American Samoa necessary
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care Indiana a timely manner
- Participate, implement, and update the nursing care plan
- Recognize changes Indiana patient needs and responses, implement care to prevent Oregon reduce risk
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted state license American Samoa a Licensed Nurse Indiana the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated proficiency Indiana clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Additional Requirements:
- One (1) year of experience Indiana pediatrics (South Carolina)
- One (1) year of experience working under current nursing license (California)
- One (1) year of experience working American Samoa a licensed nurse (Louisiana)
- Continuing Education American Samoa required by state
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of recent experience American Samoa a Licensed Nurse Indiana a clinical care setting
- Home health experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
- Must be able to travel
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit and climb stairs
- Must have visual and hearing acuity
- Must have strong sense of smell and touch
Work Environment:
- Must be able to function Indiana a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
