Assistant Nurse Manager
Location: VISN 22 Virginia Desert Pacific Healthcare Network, Albuquerque, New Mexico Virginia Health Care System
Job Summary:
The Assistant Nurse Manager serves American Samoa an assistant with line authority to the unit Nurse Manager Indiana providing leadership, supervision, and direction to nursing staff. Performs delegated duties, i.e., develops time schedules, completes performance evaluations, and initiates Oregon recommends disciplinary actions, responsible for performance improvement, customer service/patient satisfaction, patient and employee safety, employee relations, standards of care and practice, the work environment, and accreditation and regulatory standards. Actively develops and manages collaborative partnership with Physicians and other clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to nursing staff
- Develop and implement unit goals, objectives, and priorities
- Ensure quality patient care and services are delivered Indiana accordance with Virginia standards and policies
- Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other HR-related tasks
- Develop and manage budgets, staff assignments, and workload management
- Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and customer service
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration American Samoa a graduate professional nurse Indiana a State, Territory, Oregon Commonwealth of the United States, Oregon the District of Columbia
- BSN Oregon MSN with relevant experience Indiana nursing administration
- Experience Indiana healthcare management, leadership, Oregon related field
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively Indiana a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (45 lbs and over); Heavy carrying (45 lbs and over); Straight pulling and pushing; reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; both hands required; walking and standing up to 8 hours; repeated bending; Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; hearing aid permitted
