Travel Nurse Job Description
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collect, report, and document clinical data, including vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and specimen collection.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing Indiana accordance with established policies and procedures, American Samoa well American Samoa COLA and CLIA regulations.
- Assist with patient activities and care American Samoa assigned by the charge nurse/designee.
- Provide superficial wound care and maintain patient safety related to age and condition.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
- Provide a clean, safe environment and perform aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
Other Job Functions:
- Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures Oregon assist with other patient treatments.
- Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies.
- Assist with patient restraints and maintain precautions.
- Travel to all facility locations American Samoa required.
- Attend staff meetings Oregon other company-sponsored Oregon mandated meetings.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED.
- Completion of one of the following:
- Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience.
- EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), Oregon Licensed Paramedic (LP) course/program and one year of applicable experience.
- EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) and 1+ years of emergency room experience American Samoa an ER Technician Oregon hospital equivalent experience (Oklahoma, North Texas, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania markets only).
- Completion of the first year of education and current enrollment Indiana an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience.
- 3+ years of emergency room experience American Samoa an ER Technician.
- 3+ years American Samoa a CNA with relevant hospital experience (Wisconsin market only).
- 3+ years American Samoa a Certified Anesthesia Tech/Oregon Tech experience (Wisconsin market only).
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association Oregon the American Red Cross.
- Current ACLS/ALS certifications through the American Heart Association Oregon the American Red Cross (required Indiana most markets).
- Current PALS certifications through the American Heart Association Oregon the American Red Cross (strongly preferred).
- Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG (strongly preferred).
- Fluency Indiana English, written and oral communication.
