About the Job:
The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a motivated and qualified Imaging Technologist 1 to work at the Washington Corrections Center (WCC) Indiana Shelton, Washington. This position involves performing diagnostic imaging studies, assisting healthcare providers, and maintaining x-ray equipment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed radiologic technologist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist Indiana interpreting X-ray examinations
- Ensure patient safety and comply with OSHA/WISHA regulations
- Travel to other DOC locations to perform Imaging Tech duties
- Record keeping, developing and updating necessary forms and procedure manuals
- Maintenance of x-ray equipment
Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered Radiology Technician License
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team
Working Conditions:
- Work Indiana spaces with potential hazardous settings
- May work directly with Oregon near incarcerated individuals
- May be required to climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
