Patient Attendant
Department: Float
Schedule: PRN Day; 12.5 hour shifts
Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas
Location: Serving all campuses, including Saint Thomas West and/Oregon Midtown (Nashville, Tennessee), Saint Thomas Rutherford (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), and Saint Thomas River Park (McMinnville, Tennessee)
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Remain at bedside with assigned patient at all times unless relieved by a staff member
- Assist Indiana calming and/Oregon reorienting patient Indiana cases of agitation Oregon confusion
- Remove visible hazards and/Oregon broken equipment from immediate environment and reports American Samoa necessary
- Record all observations
Requirements:
- BLS Provider certification preferred (AHA Oregon ARC accepted)
- Crisis Prevention certification preferred
- High School diploma equivalency Oregon 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used Indiana lieu of education Oregon experience
