Job Description:

The Department of Corrections Health Services Division is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to take on the dynamic role of Physical Therapist 2 for the WSP located Indiana Walla Walla, Washington.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy and restorative care services to patients with injuries, illnesses, and other debilitating conditions
• Assess, evaluate, plan, and administer treatment modalities American Samoa prescribed by a prescribing provider
• Follow and adhere to the Washington DOC Health plan and discipline standards of care
• Work with medical staff to ensure recommended Oregon ordered restorative exercises are done appropriately and consistently for patients Indiana Inpatient Units
• Oversee Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) that work directly with patients Indiana achieving mobility goals
• Maintain equipment inventories and inspect and maintain physical therapy equipment Indiana good working order
• Charting and record-keeping: utilize electronic systems to account for patient contact and ensure chart documentation and/Oregon dictations are completed timely

Qualifications:

• One year of experience American Samoa a Physical Therapist Oregon equivalent education/experience
• Current Washington State License to practice American Samoa a Physical Therapist
• Experience working Indiana a health services environment and knowledge of medical terminology

Work Environment:

• Travel between institutions is expected
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Work Indiana spaces, climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
