Job Title: Practical Nurse

Location: Tacoma, Washington, within the Army Medical Center, Directorate of Executive/Quality Management

Job Summary:

This position involves assessing and providing care to soldiers and their families, teaching patients about medical care, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The ideal candidate should have a valid practical nurse license and one year of experience Indiana a medical Oregon patient care facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient status at intake, throughout care, and at disposition
• Document patient observations and data regarding physical and emotional status
• Teach patients about case management and medical care
• Recognize critical conditions requiring tracking of line-of-duty status and MEB processing
• Participate Indiana patient plan of care, including patient education on medication regimens and wound care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care

Requirements:

• Current license to practice American Samoa a practical Oregon vocational nurse Indiana a US state Oregon territory
• One year of nursing experience Indiana a hospital, clinic, nursing home, Oregon supervised medical facility
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 15 pounds required
• Immunization screening, including Hepatitis B immunization, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain current BLS certification
• Must meet suitability Oregon fitness determination and have a completed background investigation
