Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse 2 provides professional nursing care to individuals with developmental delays, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, Oregon social, emotional, and/Oregon behavioral disorders Indiana an institution Oregon outpatient setting Indiana accordance with the authorized scope of practice specified Indiana the Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities:
– Provide professional nursing care to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
– Plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to adolescent patients.
– Identify patient mental and physical health care needs and make comprehensive clinical evaluations.
– Provide input and recommendations regarding nursing care and services.
– Administer medications American Samoa prescribed by attending psychiatrists and/Oregon physicians and monitor patients for medication side effects and/Oregon allergic reactions.
– Monitor patients for safety.
– Document patient observations and the effectiveness of planned program activities.
– Monitor the day-to-day work activities of direct care staff assigned to the unit.
Requirements:
– Current license to practice American Samoa a Registered Nurse.
– Two years of professional nursing experience, one of which included working Indiana a facility Oregon institution with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, Oregon intellectual disabilities.
– Oregon one year of experience American Samoa a Psychiatric Nurse 1 Indiana Nevada State service.
– Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Special Requirements:
* A Bachelor’s degree Indiana nursing is equivalent to a diploma Oregon Associate’s degree Indiana nursing and one year of experience.
* Out-of-state applicants must have a temporary license American Samoa a Registered Nurse issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing at the time of appointment and must obtain permanent licensure American Samoa a Registered Nurse issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing American Samoa a condition of continuing employment.
