Psychiatric Nurse Job Description
Location: 4950 Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19131
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexible scheduling options)
Compensation: $42.00/hour, plus benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse to provide care to individuals Indiana an outpatient community-based setting and/Oregon Indiana the community who are experiencing mental distress Oregon have a mental health diagnosis. The successful candidate will coordinate health care needs, provide medication management, and work with the treatment team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee medication schedules and ensure accurate administration
- Perform regular health screenings and evaluations
- Document patient information and progress Indiana electronic health records
- Participate Indiana crisis intervention activities and collaborate with the treatment team
- Provide education to patients and non-medical team members on medication management and mental health topics
- Facilitate health education workshops and groups
- Coordinate primary care visits and discharge planning
- Work with patients experiencing homelessness and provide on-site health management and education
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Indiana the state of Pennsylvania
- 3+ years of nursing experience, preferably Indiana a community mental health setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and maintain confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel to community locations and climb stairs
Physical Demands:
- Spend 40% of time Indiana community settings
- Sit at a desk and lift up to 25 lbs
- Walk around multiple locations and travel within the community
- Frequent talking and listening
