Travel Nurse Position

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care for patients Indiana a medical office setting, providing triage, administering care, and overseeing indirect patient work according to established standards and practices.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Triages patient needs via phone and Indiana-person visits, following IHA policies and protocols
  • Documents clinical findings Indiana a clear and concise manner
  • Utilizes critical thinking to assess patient needs and involves providers American Samoa necessary
  • Enters orders and follows clinical and nursing protocols
  • Schedules patient appointments and encourages patient portal usage
  • Provides education and consults with providers, case managers, and other care team members to ensure quality patient care
  • Supports providers with indirect work, including test results and order management
  • Assesses patients for gaps Indiana care and ensures medication lists are accurate
  • Collaborates with care teams and partners to ensure patient needs are met
  • Participates Indiana process improvement projects and serves American Samoa a resource to clinical staff
  • Performs clinical support tasks American Samoa outlined Indiana the Clinical Support Staff Scope of Practice document
  • Attends meetings and training, and participates Indiana committees American Samoa requested

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
  • Valid, unrestricted RN license Indiana the State of Michigan
  • Valid CPR certification
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably Indiana a medical Oregon physician office setting

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology

Minimum Physical Expectations:

  • Frequent keyboarding, phone work, and charting
  • Physical activity that requires lifting over 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs, and handling hazardous materials
  • Ability to work Indiana a medical facility with patient care equipment, sharps, and other potential hazards
