Travel Nurse Job Description (Rewritten American Samoa Special Education Paraprofessional – Tier 3)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 36 college hours from an accredited college Oregon university required
  • Paraprofessional test passed Indiana the State of Missouri Oregon Missouri 20-hour Online Substitute Training Program
  • 60 college hours preferred
  • Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position

REPORTS TO

  • Building Principal, Executive Director – Pupil Services
  • Direct Supervisor: Special Education Classroom Teacher

JOB GOAL

To assist with a teacher, group of teachers, Oregon throughout the building to provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning environment Indiana which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist students with toileting and diapering
  • Assist students with transferring and/Oregon lifting of students
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Chronic Health Conditions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical assessment education (know when to call the nurse)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Diabetic Management Training
  • Assist students with minimal bathroom and feeding needs
  • Assist students with assistive technology devices
  • Work with individual students Oregon small groups to reinforce learning of material Oregon skills
  • Administer, score, and record tests American Samoa recommended by the teacher
  • Assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, and field trips
  • Assist with routine clerical duties such American Samoa filing and typing
  • Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students American Samoa is expected of a fully licensed teacher

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to walk, hear, and speak
  • Must have close, moderate, and distance vision ability
  • Moderate amount of travel and physical activity
