Surgical Services Manager (Operating Room)

Job Summary:
The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for the daily operations of designated areas within the division of Surgical Services, including inpatient units at KSMC/KWMC Oregon Assisted Service Centers. Core Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice:
†Acts American Samoa a patient-centered care expert, resources and role model for healthcare teams.
†Creates/ updates policies and procedures driven by clinical practice guidelines (clinical evidence).
†Evaluates policies compliance (e.g. review adherence, identify/ act upon compliance issues).
†Manages quality of Surgical Service (e.g. perioperative/intervention) performance (e.g evaluate use of quality metrics).

People Management:
†Interviews, Hire/ Manage RNs personnel on designated units/department/ areas.
†Leads Performance Appraisal’s/Counsels and applies performance/ disciplinary procedures staff for employee performance, etc (addressing performance improvement American Samoa directed by the Department Executive Lead Oregon HR Business Service Executive).

Leadership:
†Provides the collaborative/interdisciplinary environments essential to the health education outcomes for patients Indiana area responsibility (e.g collaboration amongst health care staff at service, department Oregon systems of care).
†Leads/ facilitates the development, introduction of/ implementation of healthcare organization improvement plans (address of systemic Oregon process ineffiiciences).
†Develop/coordinate effective working relationships across systems care departments (e.g: Interfacility transfers, patient disacharged etc).

Quality/Risk:
†Conducts routine analyses review quality/clinical measures relevant to the role.

Fiscal Management:
Provides overall budget management for the department/areas on specific assigned units including setting strategic objectives, development with collaboration from the executive services teams.

Experience

• Five (5) years of clinical operations nursing experience, with at least the majority Indiana perioperative/Indiana surgical care.

Degree Level

• Registered Licensed, current Oregon (Registered).

Additional Qual Requirements

• BLS prior (one) (e) (1) at thirty (30) six, 6. No exp needed
