Telephonic Medical Case Manager, RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Telephonic Medical Case Manager, RN to provide comprehensive quality telephonic case management to proactively drive a medically appropriate return to work for injured employees. The successful candidate will partner with adjusters to develop a personalized holistic approach for each claim, utilizing clinical/nursing skills to determine medically necessary care and effectively communicate with providers, employers, and injured employees.

Responsibilities:

• Use clinical/nursing skills to determine medically necessary care and ensure delivery of care is cost-effective
• Perform utilization review activities and coordinate treatment programs to maximize quality and cost-effectiveness
• Document case management activities Indiana case management system
• Collaborate with employers to discuss job duties modifications based on medical limitations
• Ensure injured employees receive appropriate level and intensity of care
• Communicate effectively with adjusters, clients, vendors, and other parties to coordinate medical care and return to work
• Conduct clinical assessments to identify barriers to care and develop strategies to achieve optimal resolution

Requirements:

• Active unrestricted Nevada RN license
• Bachelor’s degree Indiana nursing (BSN) from accredited college Oregon university Oregon equivalent work experience
• Certification Indiana case management, pharmacy, rehabilitation nursing, Oregon related specialty highly preferred
• Ability to acquire and maintain Professional Certifications and Licenses to comply with state laws
• 5 years of related experience Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work Indiana a team environment and meet performance competencies

Work Environment:

• Mental demands include clear thinking, excellent judgment, and ability to handle work-related stress
• Physical demands include computer keyboarding
• Auditory/visual demands include hearing, vision, and talking

Salary Range:

• $72,000 – $88,000/year (California location only)
