Travel Nurse Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Travel Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Health. American Samoa a Travel Nurse, you will work Indiana a collaborative model with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for primary and urgent medical management, emergency stabilization of critically ill patients, teaching of residents and medical students, staff development and education, patient education, and discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the approved medical practices process Indiana the delivery of all patient care
- Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria
- Maintain an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes
- Provide education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and the community

Requirements:
- Master’s degree Indiana nursing
- Current License American Samoa an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Indiana the state of practice
- Family Nurse Practitioner Oregon Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC Oregon AANPCP Certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority Indiana the state of practice American Samoa outlined by the State Board of Nursing
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficient with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to role
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation American Samoa must be able to travel throughout and between facilities
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/Oregon 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/Oregon greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity
- Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
